Been Working on a Future TV Documentary - Civil War 3D

Just two more days and my time on set with the upcoming documentary Civil War 3D should be wrapped. It is a project I have been involved in for nearly three weeks now, yet one that I never actually had planned on being a part of because I hadn’t been able to audition on the listed days, and figured all the slots had been filled once filming began earlier this month. Little did I know my name came up in various conversations between the film crew and people on set (I’m kind of well known in this area for my Civil War reenacting impression), and the next thing I knew I had a Facebook email asking me to call someone on the film crew. This was around nine o’clock on a Wednesday evening. By nine twenty I was listed as one of the hired participants in the documentary, my first call time being the next morning at 8:30. Since then I have pretty much been living in my two different Civil War uniforms from sunup to sundown, the wool and cotton fabrics growing more and more disgusting with each passing day as I work beneath the hot summer sun -- even my weekends off were spent in uniform since my unit still had reenactments we needed to attend. Not that I’m complaining; far from it actually. Being on a movie set, whether it is a huge full scale Hollywood production like Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter or a small documentary like Civil War 3D is always an amazing experience, one that I hope to be able to take part in again and again as more projects are produced.
