Scraping the Bone: Ten Dark Tales - Only 99 Cents

I know what you're thinking, wasn't this title free for a long time?  In fact, didn't you have readers of this very website post to Amazon that the title was free on other sites so they would match it?  My answer is yes, it was free, but, now, sadly, it isn't.  Amazon can price match books, but they can also un-match them at will, which is what happened here, much to my dismay.  Nothing I can do about it.  Thankfully 99 cents for ten short stories is still a pretty good deal as well.  $1.99 wouldn't be a bad price either -- 20 cents a story basically -- so I may change it to that soon.  For now, however, I will kept it at 99 cents.

And now, for the authors out there that are asking whether or not having this title free added to sales of my others titles, the answer is: I have no idea.  I had a slump in sales this summer that started to pick up once again in September.  This title went free in October.  At the same time my title NIKKI'S SECRET was released and several new reviews on professional sites for JIMMY were published.  Needless to say, all of this could have contributed to the rise in sales I saw from October through February.

What is a bit scary is I have seen a slump in sales this month and am starting to wonder if that is a result of this title not being free anymore.  Chances are it is a just a coincidence, sometimes things just don't sell well for a few weeks, but given the timing it is impossible not to wonder about whether or not the two are connected.
