Opened Up Some Fun Looking Reads Yesterday

One of the great things about having a mother who enjoys the world of horror and suspense as much as I do is the type of books she always manages to find for me on my birthday and Christmas.  This year she did really well, her journey into a Half Priced Books resulting in the titles above.  She also found several of the old Choose Your Own Adventure books and some great international thrillers, all of which I'm sure to enjoy in the upcoming months.

Hope you all has a fantastic Christmas as well!

I don't know if I'd call LUCIFER'S HAMMER horror - great book but more of a post-apocalyptic science-based survival story. Uplifting message at the end. I loved it!

This is true. There are few on there that aren't really horror. The novel that became the movie DIE HARD is another. Interestingly, those are two I'm most looking forward to reading. I'm also really curious to see how Sherlock Holmes and Dracula do together as a crime fighting team.

ORPHANS is one of my favorite covers!

I love that cover too. And the T.M. Wright ones I managed to find yesterday at the used bookstore (not pictured yet). They are really enticing.
