You are right, I am huge horror fan, but up until recent years I have been limited in what I could find due to poor video store selection, lack of decent TV selection, and family health issues that kept me living in a hospital for quite a long time. I plan on watching the remake sometime in the near future, and, oddly enough, am kind of looking forward to seeing what it is like. I also didn't know there was a sequel and now want to find a copy -- I'll probably just go ahead and buy it along with this one next time I'm at the store because this is one I really want in my collection. I'm a big fan of this film too. And I also dug the remake. Like you, I've only seen The Hills Have Eyes a couple of times; but its power to unsettle remains with me!
